A multitude of hats!!

...or, "Beaucoup des Chapeaux!!"

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I posted, but I have been super-busy with finals and the holidays. I'd like to show you what I did for Christmas presents this year!

All the hats! I made an additional one in blue that I didn;t take pictures of. The purple one is mine, the green and yellow ones are for my roommates, and the black on was commissioned for a coworker's mom.

The only one I hve pictures of is the green one... but they're all the same so just use your imagination :)

And the best part!!

Sorry for the blurry pic. My boss at work got me these personalized tags to sew in my work. Everything I made this year had one of these babies inside it!!

They were well-recieved, and this pattern was so easy and quick!

I love you guys, hopefully a month won't pass between posts!!

Hooty Who?

OKay guys here's another coupla projects from 2-D Design class...

Color Theory project- "Design a mock-up for a stained glass window."
18"x24" on drawing paper. Gouache.





Symbolism Project- "Create an animal portrait using only symbols."
14"x17" on drawing paper. Micron pen.



Oh yeah... thousands and thousands of tiny little circles. And to add to it, I drew the WHOLE thing out in pencil first! Whew!


Finals are coming up so I'll be super busy for the next two weeks... but expect some Christmas project posts!

Altered Altoid Tin for another swap

So for this swap I had to alter an Altoid tin according to a theme and make things to go inside it fitting with the theme. The theme was "dreams".


The tin closed. It says "Dreams are illustrations from the book your soul is writing about you. -Marsha Norman"


the bottom of the tin. It says "You are looking at a figment of my imagination. A fantastic notion made real".


opened up! It says "All poetic inspiration is but dream interpretation".

Now for the goodies!


Magnets with dream meanings on them; windows, flowers, and cages, respectively.


A little accordion book...


...that opens to pictures and dream meanings!

She also raises rats, so I embroidered her a rat patch...


This was the first time I've decoupaged in a loooooong time... but now I'm hooked!! Will definitely be trying this again soon!

The Beginning

So... I made a craft blog. Let's see how this goes.

I guess my first project showcased can be this scarf I made for a swap on Craftster.org.


It's a black fleece backing with pieces of a thrifted vintage shirt I got for a dollar!!


Here's a closeup. I whipstitched the seams by hand because I broke my last topstitching needle!


The giraffe likes it!!

I also included a matching pouch.



It's just an old black T-shirt I cut up. The lining is the same fabric as the scarf.

Well I might go back and put all my old Myspace project posts on here. We'll see how motivated I get :)
